Professor Theodoros Kyriakides MB, ChB, Bsc (Hons), FRCP (Lon), studied Medicine at Bristol University where he also obtained a Bachelors degree in Physiology. He trained in Neurology in Bristol and Newcastle upon Tyne and in Neuropathology in Perth Western Australia where he developed an interest in CNS amyloid angiopathy and neuromuscular diseases. He was appointed Consultant Neurologist at the CING in 1992 where he expanded the Neuromuscular Clinic and established the only neuromuscular pathology laboratory in Cyprus. He has been the Principal Investigator of a number of research grants from the Research Foundation of Cyprus, MDA (USA) and the Cyprus Telethon.
